On 1 November 2025, ICA officers at Woodlands Checkpoint foiled an attempt to smuggle duty-unpaid cigarettes via a Malaysia-registered car, driven by a lone 38-year-old Malaysian man, into Singapore. ICA officers directed the driver for enhanced checks and uncovered duty-unpaid cigarettes hidden in various compartments of the car.
