Remembering Huell Howser who passed away on January 7, 2013, at the age of 67 in Palm Springs. Huell was a public TV figure for many years in Los Angeles before traveling across California, starting in 1991, to make programs for his new public television show, “California’s Gold.” Armed with just a camera and a microphone, Huell set out to show his audience what is amazing about California’s historic sites, museums, attractions, and culture.
