History Photographed on Instagram: "This rare audio clip features the late Chris Farley, the original voice actor for Shrek, performing an emotional scene with Donkey where he reveals his desire for a home. Leaked footage exists of Farley's performance before Mike Myers took over. Myers requested a script overhaul, leading to the 2001 film's final version. Farley's unfulfilled portrayal remains a powerful "what-if" in animation history."

Shrek almost had a completely different voice. Chris Farley recorded most of the role before his death, then Mike Myers took over — and later rerecorded Shrek again with the Scottish accent we know today. 🐇 #RabbitHoleDaily #Shrek #MikeMyers #ChrisFarley #MovieHistory

CLIPS on Instagram: "🎬 Fun Fact: Shrek (2001) The original voice actor for Shrek was comedian Chris Farley. He had recorded nearly all of his lines for a more gentle, soft-spoken version of the character before his tragic death. After he passed away, Mike Myers was brought in and re-recorded the role, famously adding the iconic Scottish accent."
