It's been a drenching rain north and west of the St. Louis area tonight. Radar shows the heavy rain and thunderstorms moving northeast. Nothing is severe, but there is some lightning and torrential rain. Metro area can expect the shower and thunderstorm chances to increase toward 2 to 3 AM. At that point, we are thinking it is even weaker than what we are seeing right now, but still producing some downpours. | Scott Connell
