Great Blue herons will eat anything they can grab, even expert yoga frogs but this morning stretch started much differently. Like a snake, grea blue herons strike but instead of fangs these birds use their spear tipped beak. THye typically make quick work of thier food but there are times when the food doesnt really want to be eaten, like this poor frog and in true great blue heron style, once the bird stabbed the life out of the frog, it took it far off into the swamp to finsih its meal. | Mark
