Peter Noone, born in Manchester in 1947, rose to fame in the mid-1960s with Herman’s Hermits during the British Invasion. Circa 1965, while balancing touring and studies, he met Mireille Strasser, a French student. Their romance grew, and on November 5, 1968—Noone’s 21st birthday—they wed in London.
