REPLACING A SUMP PUMP WHILE BASEMENT IS FLOODING The job was pretty easy with the right planning. Have extra couplers and PVC just in case you make a mistake. In my case I didn't have time to run back to the store to get parts if something went wrong but we lucked out with the sump pump replacement. Extra Note: Installing a check valve would stop the water from flowing back into the sump after the pump stops prolonging the time between the pump running. I plan to climb back down and install a ch
