Sometimes the shift starts before the argument does. A delayed reply feels like rejection. Your mind starts looking for proof they’re pulling away. You might ask for reassurance, go quiet, or feel an urge to push them away first. If you live with BPD, these can be signs that fear is taking over, not proof that the other person has stopped caring. Try pausing and asking yourself: “What happened, and what am I afraid it means?” Which sign do you notice first? 🦋🤎 #BPD #BorderlinePersonalityDisord

Your child raises a toy to hit you, and you need to stop it before the hit happens. So you gesture with your hand or give them a look, hoping they'll understand what you mean. You're trying to prevent the hit. But a gesture does not tell your child the boundary or what happens when they cross it. Here's what to do instead. Give yourself one response. The moment the toy goes up, stop the moment. Take their hand and say:

Someone commented on my last video of Arthur running in circles “pacing isn’t something to brag about”. What they were implying is that Arthur’s circling behaviour is what behavioural science calls “stereotypies”. This means a behaviour that’s repetitive in nature, serves no function and is usually caused by confinement or distress. As someone trained in Animal Behaviour, this is a conversation I’ve already had with our vet. He does not believe that it is. •it may genuinely be purposeful activit

A Coinfession we don’t talk about enough: SUCCESS ALSO REQUIRES DISCIPLINE. When things start going well, life can change quickly. Your income grows. Your opportunities grow. Your lifestyle changes. And suddenly, there is pressure to do more, have more and give more. But success can come with its own financial traps. Just because you can afford something doesn't always mean you should. The goal is not just to look successful. It is to build a life that is financially sustainable. And don't let y

If you have a problem with a child who is a boy choosing to do an activity or play a game that in the past has been classically looked as as more feminine or you have a problem with a girl who is chosing to do an activity or play a game that in the past calasscily was looked at as more masculine (but let’s be real rarly it’s the later)... go to therapy!! And stop taking it out on an innocent child that just wants to have fun… 😵‍💫😭😭
