Did you know? Every bobcat’s spot pattern is unique, much like a human fingerprint, which helps CDFW scientists in their research and management of this native wild cat. This particular bobcat was filmed recently along the American River by David Zavistan, who shared his video with CDFW. For three years, CDFW has been conducting a statewide bobcat population assessment and is now working to draft a statewide bobcat conservation and management plan. Among CDFW’s preliminary findings: Bobcats, unl
