Aoudad, also known as Barbary sheep, hail from North Africa but have made themselves right at home in West Texas. The problem is, they’re outcompeting native Desert Bighorns. Around here, folks call them “the poor man’s sheep,” and while they make for one hell of a hunt, their impact on native herds is no small thing.
