Dec 1, 2024 · The 375 F1 was not Ferrari's first ever Formula One winner at all as Tom Hartley Junior states. The 1948 Garda Grand Prix, Salo was won by Guiseppe Farina in a Ferrari 125. Alberto Ascari won both the 1949 Swiss and Monza Grand Prix of Europe in a Ferrari 125. Ascari also won the 1950 Penya Rhin Grand Prix, Barcelona in a 375 F1.

Sep 14, 2017 · Ferrari have used the V12 in Formula One for decades starting with the 125 and then switching to Lampredi’s design for the 275, 340 and 375 during the early 1950s. The rules were changed in 1954 and Ferrari used the V12 exclusively for sports car racing.

Dec 10, 2024 · A week later Ferrari entered the same car with Umberto Maglioli at th Gran Premio Ciudad de Buenos Aires which was a Formula Libre race for single-seaters but a good opportunity to test the new car in the Southamerican summer. There is not much literature on these four cars, which seems strange after 70 years!

I should add that not all Seiko 7A38's should be considered as 'parts donors' for Cartier Ferrari Formula chronos. Some of them are very rare - and worth far more than a 'Cartier Ferrari Formula' on the watch collector market.
