We are the oldest and largest faith-based homeless shelter in the city of Dallas. Since 1949, the Union Gospel Mission has reached out to help those with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual problems ? the last, least, lost and the lonely in Dallas and neighboring areas.

On December 17, 2024, the Union Gospel Mission (UGM) Dallas celebrated a remarkable milestone: 75 years of dedicated service to the community. The highlight of the evening was a special message from former President George W. Bush and his wife, Laura Bush, who came to honor UGM's legacy of helping others.

In 1962 we opened our first homeless shelter. Union Gospel Mission Dallas expanded the men’s shelter adding beds dedicated to the Health Care for Homeless Veterans. We continue to provide a safe and healthy environment for homeless men, women, children, and veterans.
