Mar 7, 2025 · Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the North Shore including West Vancouver, forecasting an atmospheric river beginning tonight, Friday, March 7, continuing through the weekend into the evening of Sunday, March 9.

West Vancouver Council is the elected decision-making body for the District and is comprised of the mayor and six councillors. The mayor is the chief executive officer. Under the Local Government Act , Council sets budgets, levy taxes and establishes policies to guide the growth, development and operation of the District.
