前場の東京株式市場で日経平均は前営業日比１４２８円８１銭安の３万５６９１円５２銭と大幅続落した。景気不安などから前週末の米国株式市場が大幅安となったほか、トランプ関税も引き続き嫌気され、ほぼ売り一色の展開。一時１５４５円７２銭安の３万５５７４円６１銭まで下落し、節目と意識されていた３万６０００円を割り込んだ。その後下げ渋ったものの、積極的な買い材料は見当たらず、期末最終日で動きにくく反発力は鈍い。

午後３時のドル／円は１４９円近辺と、前週末ニューヨーク市場の終盤からドル安／円高の水準で取引されている。米関税への警戒感や米景気不安による日経平均の大幅下落で、リスクオフの流れからドル／円も下落した。週内に米国による相互関税の発表や自動車関税の発動、米指標を控えて大きな方向感は出づらい状況との声も聞かれる。
