Gibson is directing the follow-up to one of the biggest independent movies of all time, 'The Passion of the Christ.'

Back in June 2016, writer Randall Wallace revealed that he and Mel Gibson had started working on a sequel to The Passion of the Christ. This new movie would focus on the Resurrection of Jesus and the events surrounding it.
