Jared McCann's third-period goal and Joey Daccord's 26 saves lifted the visiting Kraken over the defending Stanley Cup champion Panthers in regulation.

The Florida Panthers came out of the 4 Nations break hoping to hit the ground running. Instead, they fell short against the visiting Seattle Kraken, falling 2-1 on Saturday night at Amerant Bank Arena.

The Seattle Kraken have been without their captain Jordan Eberle for 14 weeks. He last saw the ice on Nov. 14 when the Kraken played the Chicago Blackhawks.
