John Korir arrived in Hopkinton hoping to join his brother as a Boston Marathon champion. He left Boylston Street with plans to train a future winner.

John Korir overcame an early fall to win the 2025 Boston Marathon, finishing without a bib but with another World Major victory.

Korir pulled away to take down a world-class field in spectacular fashion with a finishing time of 2:04:45, the second-fastest winning time in the race’s history.
