India's HDFC Life Insurance reported a 14% rise in third-quarter profit on Wednesday, helped by growth in the sales of retail insurance policies.

The growth in profit after tax (PAT) was driven by a record 24 per cent rise in HDFC Life’s individual annual premium equivalent (APE).
