HOLLAND, MI – A worker was killed in a workplace accident at LG Energy Solutions, Holland police said. The victim was identified as Kim Jung Won of South Korea. The incident happened just after 5 p.m. Sunday, July 27, at the facility at 865 E. 48th Street in Holland, police said.

Officers responded to a major accident in the 6800 block of Woodwick Drive at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, according to Officer Luis Mata, a Dallas police spokesperson. It was determined a single-vehicle accident had happened and a person had died at the scene, Mata said. Another person was transported to a hospital in critical condition.

Preliminary information indicates that a “barge struck a sailing vessel carrying six people” near Star Island, officials said.
