NJ Transit train line suspended after freight train derailment

Service on a portion of NJ Transit’s Raritan Valley line is suspended on Tuesday morning after a freight train derailed in Union County, officials said. NJ Transit service remains suspended in both directions between Cranford and Newark Penn Station. Passengers can use NJ Transit buses as an alternative.
