Coming off of a national championship, Ohio State is set to open next year with a bang as it will host Texas in Week 1. It’s a matchup that will surely garner plenty of attention, especially after the Buckeyes and Longhorns faced each other in a College Football Playoff semifinal this season.

It's been about a month since Ohio State won its first national title in a decade. Ohio State ran the table as an eighth seed in the College Football Playoff and took down Notre Dame in the National Championship Game on January 20.

The Ohio State Buckeyes will look to defend their national championship during the 2025 college football season. While August is a long time from now, the time will pass quickly. To start things off in 2025,
