Sidelined for a large chunk of the 2024–25 NBA season following surgery for deep vein thrombosis in his right shoulder, French phenom Victor Wembanyama is making the most of his recovery by soaking up the sun in Costa Rica.

San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama went on vacation to Costa Rica and gave a glimpse of his recovery from deep vein thrombosis by playing soccer with some local kids. It was a sight to behold as he towered over his teammates and opponents because of his 7-foot-3 height.

Victor Wembanyama seemed like a lock to win Defensive Player of the Year until he went down with a season-ending injury. The San Antonio Spurs man was diagnosed with a blood clot (Deep Vein Thrombosis) in his right shoulder and had to get surgery to address the issue.
