In a game against two defensive juggernauts, Texas A&M dropped its second consecutive game, falling 77-69 to No. 6 Tennessee. Surprisingly, the game came down to who was the better three-point shooter.

The Aggies led by as many as nine in the first half before an offensive outburst from Tennessee guard Chaz Lanier put the Volunteers up by four at halftime. Lanier scored 22 points in the first half to help Tennessee regain the lead.
