A technical snag delayed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's aircraft at Deoghar in Jharkhand this afternoon. The aircraft is grounded at the city's airport until the issue is resolved, causing a delay in Prime Minister's return to New Delhi, NDTV reported.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aircraft on Friday faced a technical snag in Jharkhand’s Deoghar. After the snag could not be rectified, the Prime Minister took another plane to fly to Delhi after a delay of over two hours, the Deputy Commissioner of Deoghar said, according to news agency PTI.

According to an official statement, the Prime Minister had been at the Deoghar airport for over an hour as discussions were underway to arrange alternative travel plans for his return to the capital.

The incident took place after Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his events in the poll-bound Jharkhad and arrived at the Deoghar airport to return to Delhi.
