Steelers show true feelings towards Mike Tomlin despite big mistakes over the years
The Pittsburgh Steelers have the longest-tenured head coach in the NFL in Mike Tomlin, but things have been rocky as of late. The fan base has clearly expressed its displeasure with the coach still being around as his job has routinely been called for after each of the last several seasons.
Under Mike Tomlin, the Steelers have never lost a 'Monday Night Football' game as the home team, and they are winners of 22 straight games on the primetime stage. They will seek to extend that streak, but will have to do so without T.J. Watt, who had surgery on Friday after a major health scare with a partially repaired lung.
Tomlin said he didn’t know when Watt began feeling discomfort. The head coach also said he didn’t believe Watt was dealing with an injury during or after the game that would have put him on the injury report. “I know he was in the cafeteria at one point and that’s kind of when I got wind of it,” Tomlin said.
Jalen Ramsey criticized Pittsburgh Steelers fans who called for the dismissal of coach Mike Tomlin during his team's last home game.
