Football icon Lionel Messi's second day in India passed smoothly Sunday, after a chaotic opening to his three-day tour, as the World Cup winner kicked balls into the crowd and met cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.

Messi, who is currently at the Mumbai airport, was scheduled to land in New Delhi earlier on Monday morning. However, foggy conditions in the capital forced a rescheduling of his flight. He is expected to depart Mumbai shortly for the final set of engagements, including a ticketed appearance at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium.

Following the lapses during the opening leg in Kolkata, where the City of Joy descended into chaos, security has been significantly tightened in New Delhi.
