Alleged Minnesota assassin Vance Boelter’s lifelong friend David Carlson has made several revelations about the suspect.

David Carlson, who says that he has known Boelter since fourth grade, described the shooting suspect as a "great guy."

The best friend of accused Minnesota assassin Vance Boelter revealed haunting text messages he received shortly after the assassination of Democratic House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband. David Carlson has known Vance Boelter for more than 40 years and was roommates with him at a north Minneapolis home that Boelter was at part-time. Carlson was shocked by Saturday's news that Boelter is the suspect in the shooting of two state lawmakers and their spouses.
