At least three were killed and 49 injured in missile and drone strikes that focused on Kyiv, days after a daring covert attack on Moscow’s bomber fleet.

The attack on Friday, which killed at least four people nationwide, came two days after Russia vowed retaliation for an audacious drone assault on its strategic bomber bases.

Russia's military released the statement after Ukrainian officials said Russia had launched an intense missile and drone barrage at Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, in the early hours of Friday and that three people had been killed.
