Midland police are preparing to unveil a new volunteer mounted division, with a debut planned for the Memorial Day Parade.

GARY — Lake County police teamed up with a tree maintenance crew Tuesday to rescue a dog that had somehow made its way onto the roof of a three-story house, the department reported.
