According to Michigan State Police, a Houston woman driving a Jeep Compass lost control and spun into the path of a gravel hauler. The hauler hit the Compass and pushed it about 750 feet before being able to stop. The 24-year-old driver of the Compass was pronounced dead at the scene, while the gravel hauler driver was not hurt.

A Texas woman died early Thursday in a crash with a gravel hauler on Interstate 75, officials said. Michigan State Police troopers were called at about 6:40 a.m. to a location on northbound I-75 near Woodward Heights Boulevard in Hazel Park for a report of a serious crash, the agency said in a post on X.
