U.S. Sen. Mike Lee, a Republican in Utah, was confronted about a tweet he made in the aftermath of the assassination of Minnesota Democrats.
While the man suspected of killing a lawmaker and wounding another remained on the run, Lee first posted that the suspect was a “Marxist,” despite his roommate telling CBS News that he is a Trump supporter and “not a Democrat.
As Americans come to grips with another horrific example of political violence in our country, some Republicans jumped to spread lies about what happened. Meanwhile, Monday marks 10 years since Trump announced his 2016 run for president - after a weekend that saw mass protests against him.
