David Schwimmer has looked at his previous career as a process server and remembered one of the more prominent interactions he had on the job.

David Schwimmer revealed he once served Rod Stewart divorce papers while working as a process server - and he's "thankful" he's never run into the singer since.

“Rachel broke up with me on a Monday evening, and it was heartbreaking. No one leaves Rod!” Stewart told the outlet. “But that Saturday night, I met Penny at the Dorchester Hotel in London. The bass player in my band, Carmine, said, ‘Listen, you’ve just come out of a long nine-year marriage. You’re not ready yet.’ I nearly strangled him!”

The “Friends” alum previously worked as a process server during his college days, he revealed on Monday’s episode of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
