Three pedestrians were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after they were hit by a car in a crosswalk Friday afternoon, according to police.

TACOMA, Wash. — The Tacoma Police Department is investigating what they are calling two “suspicious” deaths. Officers were called to an area on St. Paul Ave. near Tacoma Marine Repair for reports of an unresponsive man and woman. Both people were pronounced dead when first responders arrived.

Tacoma police say two women found dead in the city were shot to death, and the case is being investigated as a double homicide.
