The Meta advisory board co-chairman shared that the board doesn’t want to censor content but will do so if a "substantial connection to tangible harm" is seen.

The board urged Meta to assess “potential adverse effects” of the changes, put in place just before President Donald Trump began his second term.

On Wednesday, Meta’s Oversight Board called on the company to evaluate how recent policy change’s may negatively impact human rights. The Board’s request comes alongside its publication of its first 11 case decisions following Meta’s sweeping policy changes at the start of the year.
