Max Verstappen and Red Bull were under investigation after he threw a towel out of his Formula 1 car in bizarre scenes during Hungarian Grand Prix practice. Lando Norris topped the timesheets in both of Friday’s practice sessions, as he looks to overtake his championship rival Oscar Piastri before F1 goes on its summer break.

Max Verstappen is under investigation for a bizarre incident which occurred during second practice at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Four-time world champion Verstappen was seen throwing an object, which appeared to look like a towel, out of the cockpit of his Red Bull car and onto the side of the track on the straight before Turn 4.

Max Verstappen seems set to stay with Red Bull for F1 2026. He gave major thought to leaving, but staying put for now makes the most sense
