Saturday was a maddening day at the park for LSU baseball. The Tigers, after scoring 15 runs on six home runs and 10 extra-base hits on Friday, failed to record their second hit until the eighth inning on Saturday against Sacramento State in a matchup that they wound up losing 5-4.

This weekend’s series marks the second all-time series meeting between LSU and Sacramento State. The Tigers won two of three games over the Hornets in 2016 in Baton Rouge. LSU won Games 1 and 3 by scores of 6-0 and 11-1,
