RED WING, Minn. (WKBT) -- The Red Wing Fire Department responded to a possible crude corn oil spill from a barge on the Mississippi River at approximately 12:09 p.m. on Monday, according to a release.
The spill occurred at the ADM riverfront facility, where containment booms were placed to prevent the yellow-orange substance from drifting downstream.
Cleanup is in progress in Red Wing after a barge spill released up to 3,500 gallons of crude corn oil into the Mississippi River, but no public risk has been reported.
