The LA Lakers took control of the second half to beat the LA Clippers in NBA Cup play on Tuesday night at the Crypto.com Arena. Luka Doncic had a huge first half, scoring 32 of his 43 points.

Luka Doncic had 33 points and 11 rebounds and LeBron James scored 17 points in his first road game of the season as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Utah Jazz 108-106.

In the Thunder vs. Lakers game, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander comfortably led the defending champions past Luka Doncic's side.

The LA Lakers survived a late rally by the Utah Jazz to extend their winning streak to four games and improved to 12-4 for the season.

In that first game, Bronny James scored 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the floor and 2-of-3 shooting from the foul line, grabbed eight assists, dished out four rebounds, swiped three steals and blocked one shot. The younger James appears to be gearing up for his NBA tenure, even with South Bay.

Despite a slow start for the Los Angeles Lakers, James and co. pulled away late from the Utah Jazz and secured a 140-126 victory to cap the 40-year-old's season debut. As soon as he stepped on the floor, James became the first player in NBA history to appear in 23 seasons.

After getting humbled by the reigning champs, the Lakers head into the second game of the NBA Cup West Group B contest. The last-seeded Pelicans hosted Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves for what might be an uneven matchup.
