Despite the Trump administration's demand that states "undo" SNAP benefits that were paid out under a judge's orders last week, Gov. Ned Lamont said Connecticut won't be pulling the money back. Lamont took to X on Sunday afternoon to rebuke the demand.
Ned Lamont, a Democrat who has left no question of his intention to run for another term as governor, still plans a formal public kickoff.
Aside from housing, state lawmakers will take up legislation on immigration, food assistance, health care and more when they meet Nov. 12-13
Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont has filed the necessary paperwork to seek a third term in 2026. He said on Friday he will likely make a formal announcement next week.
SNAP benefits will be available in next few days with CT funds, possibly by Saturday, but the USDA also plans to restart payments soon.
