Are you thinking about signing up for a streaming service? Here's why you might want to check out Fubo TV instead.
YouTube TV is trying to stop a subscriber exodus by offering to bring back ESPN and ABC while its stalled negotiations with Disney continue.
DirecTV and Fubo offer 5-day free trials with access to shows like "Dancing with the Stars" and live sports, while Sling provides budget-friendly customization.
Some fans are frustrated, but a new survey offers details on everything from the "blame game" to the game that might end the standoff.
According to a new survey from Drive Research (via Variety ), YouTube TV subscribers aren't happy. In response to the standoff, 24% of respondents said they had already cancelled their subscription or were planning to do so. That's according to around 1,100 consumers who responded to the survey.
When will ESPN and ABC be back on the service? We wish we could give you that answer today, but unfortunately, we are headed into another sports-packed weekend without a deal in place,” the memo from Disney executives reads.
The answer is a predictably unsatisfying mix of "maybe a smidgen," "probably less than you think" and "it's complicated."
The Athletic, part of The New York Times, reported on a memo distributed to Disney employees today which addresses the ongoing blackout of Disney-owned channels such as ABC, and especially ESPN, on YouTube TV.
