A man shot and killed by officers in Downtown Dallas Monday appeared to open fire at a group of people before turning his gun on police, according to body camera footage released Wednesday.
Dallas police officers shot to death a civilian who opened fire early Monday on people on a street of bars in the city’s downtown, according to the police department. The officers confronted the shooter after he or she fired upon multiple people about 2 a.m. in the 2000 block of Commerce Street, Dallas police said.
Roads in the area are blocked off and evacuations are ongoing as crews respond to the gas leak in the 300 block of North Market Street, officials say.
