An early-morning tragedy on Detroit's west side left three people dead and two others in the hospital after a fire broke out at a home.
DETROIT – Three people are dead after a family home caught fire on Detroit’s west side early Monday morning. The Detroit Fire Department was called to the home in the 19000 block of Wildemere Avenue at about 6 a.m., Dec. 15. They arrived to the house in less than five minutes.

A 7-year-old boy died in a weekend house fire on Detroit's west side, officials said. Detroit firefighters were called shortly before 6 a.m. Sunday to the 12000 block of Rutherford Street near Plymouth and Greenfield roads for a fire in a home. Calls reported people were trapped inside the residence, according to authorities.
