Xbox players will soon get the freedom to play anywhere with two handheld consoles that Microsoft plans to release this holiday season.

This isn’t quite what we expected to see last year, but the ROG Xbox Ally still marks a new chapter in the rapidly developing “handheld war.” Microsoft’s announcement of the Ally during its annual Xbox Showcase broadcast on Sunday only came a few days after Nintendo’s release of its latest console,

There are two versions of Microsoft's console: the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X Both versions feature a 7-inch 1080p display. The base model includes 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, while the higher-end "X" version doubles the memory and storage, and gets a larger battery and more powerful chip.
