Vietjet and aircraft manufacturer Airbus on June 17 announced a major new order for 100 A321neo aircraft, with the potential to add another 50 in the future.
The second day of Paris Air Show 2025 is well underway with defense giants dominating the early headlines, but Airbus later swept in with a huge Vietjet order.
The order, announced Tuesday at the Paris Air Show, came just three weeks after Vietjet doubled its firm orders for the A330neo widebody to 40 aircraft. The carrier also has orders for 96 A320neo-family aircraft that were placed before Tuesday’s deal.
VietJet Aviation JSC is in talks to order around 100 additional Airbus SE narrowbody jets, with a potential deal as early as the Paris Air Show next week, Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
