The family of Thomas Cooper, a 5-year-old boy killed in a hyperbaric chamber explosion in Troy on Friday, has retained Southfield-based Fieger Law to represent them, according to a statement from the firm. Managing partner James Harrington called the explosion an "unimaginable tragedy" and "immeasurable loss."

The medical facility, The Oxford Center, is located at 165 Kirts Boulevard. The explosion happened shortly before 8 a.m. and police said the boy was found dead inside the chamber. His mother, who was injured, was there with him at the facility, officials said.
