Residents in Pittsburgh are facing difficulties with snow-covered side streets roughly two days after Saturday's snowstorm. While most of the main roads in Pittsburgh are clear, it's a different story for some of the side and secondary streets.
Lake-effect snow showers are expected throughout Western Pennsylvania Sunday, said the National Weather Service of Pittsburgh, after the winter storm warning expired at 1 p.m. Northwest winds with gusts up to 30 mph will bring on the snow showers,
It's going to be an active weather weekend with the potential for multiple inches of snow and some very cold temperatures.
On-and-off lake effect snow showers are possible through the evening, mainly north of Pittsburgh. Even light snow showers could put a coating of snow back on roads in spots. Use caution when driving, as there are still slippery and icy conditions on roads, parking lots and sidewalks.
