Before rain returns to North Texas this week, there will be a chance of record-breaking and/or tying temperatures. Over the weekend, the Metroplex broke a heat record on Nov. 15 with 89 degrees, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth. The previous record was 87 degrees, recorded in both 1955 and 1960.
