Dolby and AMC Theatres have announced that Purple Rain is heading back to screens for a one-night-only stint at a handful of theaters around the country on March 5. In the Twin Cities, it'll play at AMC Rosedale and AMC Southdale.

Prince movie Purple Rain is getting a re-release in Dolby Cinema at AMC Theatres locations in the U.S. and Odeon locations in the UK.

Now, “Purple Rain” returns to the big screen with a re-release in Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos immersive audio. The film will be screened at Dolby Cinema at AMC Theatres locations in the U.S. and Dolby Cinema at ODEON locations in the U.K. for one night only on March 5.
