Two winning lotto tickets worth a combined $6.7 million were purchased on Monday, Colorado Lottery officials said.

Kum & GO Maverik, Colorado Springs: A lucky player matched all five numbers on the Double Play option, winning $500,000. This add-on option, available for an additional $1, allows players to enter their numbers into a second drawing, offering a chance to win up to $10 million.

Two tickets, sold in North Carolina and Pennsylvania, won $2 million by getting the white ball numbers and adding the Power Play option. The $500,000 Colorado ticket was sold at Maverik, 304 Main St. in Colorado Springs.

Colorado Lottery announced Monday that a Powerball ticket worth $500,000 was sold at the Maverick at the corner of Main Street and Security Boulevard. The player matched five out of five numbers on Double Play in Saturday night’s drawing.

The Powerball grew to $1.25 billion after still no jackpot winner on Monday night, but one person won big off a Colorado Lotto+ ticket.

The Wednesday, Dec. 17 Powerball drawing in an estimated $1.25 billion. It is the sixth biggest Powerball and 11th largest US lottery jackpot ever.
