In the wake of California violence, Texas National Guard will be on hand for the  downtown event. Organizers say they expect things to be peaceful.

The San Antonio protests on Wednesday, June 11, remained "peaceful" despite a significant police presence and more than 300 demonstrators at the Alamo and City Hall. The San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) told MySA that no arrests were made during the protests.

Bexar County closed its offices early on Wednesday ahead of a planned protest against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement downtown.
